Roulette ball deceleration

roulette ballHow well the FF can define roulette ball deceleration?

The graph is created from data stored inside FF after 60 spins. The X coordinate represents the ball time to complete one rotation and Y indicates by how many ms. the ball would slow down per second.

Blue points are only to indicate what would be if we try to define system calculation based on single reference spin. Even if data taken from that spin is 100% accurate it would be imposable to define right curve. But practically for real play we can't rely on data from single spin, clocked or taken by video camera.

FF works differently, it takes every single spin in to account. But also it analyses clocked data to define is it appropriate or if it has errors.

Additional advantage of FF is that we can select where in time we really want to play.
Based on various deformations on the wheel the pick point from spin to spin may float.
Therefore the best result is achievable by setting FF to predict at the time where sharp change is avoided. On some wheels with high deformations, prediction earlier then time of picks point (knee point) hardly that would produce any advantage.

The knee point is created when the centrifugal force that keeps ball spinning drops below centripetal force of gravitation which is puling ball down. At that moment friction in between side of the ball and wheel frame disappears therefore the ball deceleration drops. Deformation would create similar effect as on tilted wheel and cause various ball speeds to end up close to same drop point. The drop point can be anywhere but the final result loses proportionality with measured ball speed. It will never lose it completely but at some conditions the effect may be so intense that it is not worth playing.

the knee pointIf the deformation is at track where the ball touches it as marked with brown arrow it may cause the same but depends of intensity it may also cause the ball to constantly drop at that particular point. That of course is good but we need to apply tilted wheel approach to take advantage of it.

I highly trust FF's measurements, because it is accurate measuring device as much as it is possible to be. But we as users need to understand what is possible to do and what isn't and why. Our advantage is that we can chose when, where and how we will play.
